Constantly researching and learning about emerging and innovative developments in design, Micheline can be described as a “style chameleon”, with her design aesthetic falling in the hands of her client’s personal taste. Micheline has always gravitated towards interiors. Whether she was rearranging her childhood bedroom or repainting her parents’ kitchen while they were on vacation, she naturally found herself designing.
Years later, Micheline studied business to fulfill her goal of owning her own company. Her first venture in wallpaper and draperies gained her instant recognition. After being approached to work on a home for the first time, she enrolled in design school to develop her skill.
Alongside running her own interiors business in Montreal, she wrote weekly design segments for a local newspaper, delving deep into the philosophy of color, design flow, and the importance of a perfectly curated space.
Micheline married a hotelier and sold her successful design firm in Montreal. Her husband’s position took them down an extraordinary path, working and traveling around Egypt, Thailand, China, and France, with Micheline even designing hotels and staff uniforms to reflect the style and culture of each country.
Throughout her travels, her designs were published in local magazines, showcasing her personal flair, while tastefully mixing in elements of their own culture. Her unique style was undoubtedly influenced by the many cultures she experienced first-hand and the fascinating people she met along the way.
Always passionate about helping people, Micheline co-founded with the Director General of the Department of Public Welfare, Thailand, a non-profit foundation helping children in orphanages, the elderly, and disabled communities. For her commitment and dedication, she was bestowed the honor of a Royal Decoration.
In 1993, Micheline moved to Florida and when her daughter went to the university, she decided it was time to return to full-time interior design work. Her first role in a furniture store allowed her to expand her network among furniture companies in the US before establishing her own business.
Micheline’s experience, dedication to her design work, and ability to make people feel understood is what sets her ahead of the rest. Her process is centered around helping her clients refresh their space to suit their exact needs and desires, so they can live comfortable lives surrounded by beauty.
